From the moment we were greeted at the airport by a beaming Vishal, dressed in his lovely turquoise Indian outfit and ready with floral adornments for the four of us, I knew we were onto a winner with Summit Safari! Our nine overnight stops (from one to four nights at each) and all the journeys in between had been arranged with a precision that was second to none. Ragu, our driver, proved his worth within a very short time, calming down his passengers with his obvious skill and knowledge of both the Indian roads and his fellow drivers. We never witnessed a moment’s road rage – just a lot of horn blowing, patience and maneuverability, as is shown by 95% of India’s road users - just perhaps not the cows …..! The four of us – John and myself and two very good friends – spent 19 days travelling through Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand states in a very comfortable 11 seater mini bus, on an itinerary that fitted our requests completely, namely “We want to see grass roots India, the people’s India, how they really live” and oh boy - the stories and memories we now have to tell!

Another wonderful trip for husband Geoff and me with our neighbors John Hepworth and Maria Pirrello in February 2017 and the 4th trip for us with our guide and friend Vishal Dutta. Every trip has been different because India is so diverse. Started for us in 2010 in Shimla then the most wonderful 2 weeks in the Himalayas - Himachal Pradesh. Then a completely different trip to Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Goa - magic. This year it was Rajasthan - forts and palaces. But more than that, we saw a tiger at Ranthambore national Park and then had a wonderful day with a Naturalist local guide at Kaleodeo Bird Park - so good - a local guide chosen by Vishal. So we're not getting any younger but Vishal has been looking after us for 7 years and has become our friend who knows what we need and like. All trips are individually designed and expertly guided by Vishal and the drivers he chooses. We recommend Vishal and Summit Safari India 100%. We are even now planning trip number 5. Dear Vishal, Thanks to you, my friend and we had a very inspiring tour through the south of India– Kerala ! We were a group of 8 friends travelling together to India. India is a wonderful country, full of beauty and also very different from where we come from. We have just returned from an incredible holiday in India. 19 days in Northern India in the foothills of the Himalayas. Almost impossible to put into words, we had some unforgettable experiences. Our tour was arranged and guided by Vishal Dutta of Summit Safari India I cannot recommend Vishal highly enough. He thought of everything, from seeking out red wine to having a supply of hand wipes on the minibus our every need was catered for! We joined the locals for the Festival of Colors during our stay. Yet another wonderful trip to India with Vishal Dutta and Summit Safari. The trip to Rajasthan and Darjeeling was our third trip to India with Vishal. The first of our three wonderful trips was a jeep trek five years ago in the Himalayas. After a couple of days in Delhi and Agra, we went to Shimla in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh, then through various mountain villages and high passes to Dharamshala, Manali, Amritsar and back to Delhi. Simply stunning, and a trip that no visitor to India should ever miss. Vishal works very hard as tour organizer and manager. Every trip was perfectly customized and organized for our "mature age" group of four. Vishal met us on arrival at the airport, traveled with us as our tour director and guide for the entire trip, and delivered us safely to the airport for our flight home. Every detail is covered; every special need is taken care of. Vishal is far more to us than an excellent tour manager and guide. He is now a very dear friend of us all. We had an excellent holiday during our Exotic Kerala with Mumbai tour.The guides were all polite and informative. Our driver Mohan, was always punctual with a clean vehicle and plenty of drinking water. Mohan was a pleasure to be with, friendly and informative with good English. Entire tour was organized in a very professional way and the Hotels were with excellent service and very good and clean modern rooms. Again food was buffet based but an alacarte menu was offered and the food from this was excellent. Hotel the Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai: There is very little you can say about this hotel. We stayed here for the history and tradition the hotel is famous for and were not disappointed. Even the very high cost of food and drink was worthwhile. We had an upgrade into a palace room which we were grateful for. Without doubt we will recommend you and your company Summit Safari India to our friends and family and may well be in touch in a couple of years time to see the parts of India we have not visited yet. Dear Vishal End of our third trip with you. Every trip has been excellent although all different. Your preparation and research is impeccable. We have been Impressed each time you planned, you know the state of the roads and exactly how long journeys would take and you are an excellent interpreter. This visit we were three women attending a wedding in Delhi and than going on to visit Jodhpur, Pushkar, Jaipur and the Ganges at Rishikesh with Haridwar. You did an excellent job getting hotel bookings, internal flights, trains as we needed. Your suggestions for places to visit and activities have been spot on and your knowledge is encyclopedic, but even so, you hire the best local guides to ensure we have all the information we need. From the beginning we were excited. The preparatory email traffic was hopeful. This unknown person, Vishal, we could trust. He knew a solution for every problem. He gave us detailed information so that nothing could go wrong. On arrival in India surprised us the oiled organization of Summit Safari. A Himalayan Jeep Safari tour with Bhaba Pass trek could start for us. We go up very high in the mountains and no one got sick. We talked to everyone we encountered. Our guide Raju interpreted in where it was needed. All temples, monasteries, culture got our attention. We have seen incredible things and experienced. Luckily we did pictures or no one would believe it. Food and camping arrangements were very good during the trek in the Himalayas. The trip was very exciting. Dear Vishal This time we were three women, my daughter Kelley came for the first time and not once were we worried or scared. You looked after us so well and made sure, we were always safe. Once again you have triumphed and made my stay in India fantastic from the moment you met us at the airport to when you dropped us off after 15 days. It has been magical. We went Delhi, Jodhpur, Pushkar, Jaipur and the Jewel in the crown was Rishikesh with the Ganges, in the Himalayas. We had local guides in places of interest, we had camel ride, elephant ride, two plane rides, a boat ride, bicycle rickshaw and a tuk-tuk an overnight train, participating in the Worship ceremony of river Ganges which was an experience! Unfortunately at one stage I wasn’t well and stayed in the hotel and you made sure I was looked after so it didn’t spoiled my holidays. Your knowledge, stories and fun is such a bonus you were on our navelongth with your sense of human we laughed for two weeks. We had an amazing time thank you..!

My first time in India and I was visiting Shimla and the hills. Travelling alone and Being a women traveller, I was looking for a female guide, but it was not possible, that it is when I was introduced to Vishal. A warm, friendly, trusting good person. We enjoyed very much on the 12 days of jeep safari tour to Kinnaur, Spiti, Manali valleys. It was a very good combination of driving through the country sides and walking into the local villages and mountains. Lot of different things we did in the very best company of Vishal as a guide. We got very good information on Hindu religion and Buddhist religion and get a chance to learn more about the Tibetan life here than in Tibet, 2 years ago. It is very relaxing and flexible tour that was provide by Vishal to us….No Hassles..! Very good English speaking Guide & we had a very careful driver. Second time that we do a tour with Vishal in Northern India and he is still as enthusiastic as 2 years ago when we did the very first Kinnaur, Spiti valley and Manali tour with him. Second time with Vishal as this time we were little late to book holidays with him we had to shift our dates a little bit. We planned Dharamshala, Manali, and Ladakh with him. We see a lot of real India and specially the life as it is lived in the villages. We saw people digging a well with the traditional tools, people making wooden things in the local villages; We learned to cook Indian Bread and food in a village house with a local family. A very good combination of different things. Different religions, temples and monasteries, driving through the mountain passes , meeting the different people and the way Vishal interprets with them really brings a difference to the tour. Excellent guide- that is why we recommend him to others.

Vishal has created another wonderful trip for the four of us. In 2012 he took us through the Himalayas along the Tibetian border. This time in 2014 he showed us a very different India—South India, Kerala , Goa. Everything went very smoothly and Vishal looked after each detail with a smile and a laugh. We had a very nice trek with Vishal to Bhaba Pass & Spiti valley in the winters. It was a very interesting trip in all perspectives. Our recent Indian holiday with Vishal Dutta of Summit Safari was another triumph! Our Second Time with Summit Safari India, this year we centred our 16 days on the beautiful Andaman Islands. We enjoyed visiting five of the islands and encountered some of the most beautiful beaches in the world with coral reefs, mangroves and rain forests. There is a wealthy of history attached to these islands and the various museums were a fascinating insight. Vishal, attentive as ever. Our three days in Kolkata were full on! We particularly enjoyed the Flower Market, the Potters quarter and the Mother Theresa Home but there was so much more! Darjeeling, approximately 2,000 feet up in the Himalayas was different again, surrounded by tea plantations and obviously considerably cooler! The highlight had to be the one and a half hour ride on the UNESCO World Heritage “Toy” train from Darjeeling to Kurseong. Another wonderful holiday with Summit Safari! We cannot recommend this company highly enough. You’ve not seen the last of us, Vishal!

Vishal Customized a 29 Days Birding Tour Itinerary for me and my friend to India and Srilanka. We visited Andaman Islands, Kerala in South India, Great Himalayan National park and a few places in Srilanka on this wonderfully planned Birding tour for us. Masterful professional guides Shakti, Danny and Predeep who showed us many Endemic birds. Fine drivers and wonderful comfortable accommodations along the way with great food. During my trip to Dharamshala, Manali , Shimla in March 2019, it was a wonderful trip..Experiencing snow fall in the high Mountains of Manali, Thanedhar and the entire scenery was beautiful. The organiser, Mr Vishal from Summit Safari and his team had done well in making everything possible of our trip enjoyable. We do stay at their village home stay Exotic marigold Home in Kangra valley near Dharamshala where we meet the local people, and see how day to day life is lived in the local Indian villages. We do see milking the cow, Had Heena designs on hands, visited and interacted with the local school children, enjoyed the boat ride, visiting local markets, taste local food and making new friends. It was a life time memorable experience for us. Driver, accommodation all were very god and we feel safe with the driver. We even stayed in a Apple retreat in the mountains at Thanedhar village. Will highly recommend Vishal and Summit safari India. Thank you to Summit Safari.

First Time to India , i travelled with my sister and friend. 3 ladies travellers booked a Festival of Colors tour to India with Vishal and Summit safari India. On our 14 days tour we do visited Golden temple, Dharamshala, Village home stay where we participated in the festival of colors, Shimla, Rishkesh and the Ganges, Taj mahal and New Delhi. It was a great experience...! As a guide, I don’t know how Vishal visits each place again and again and tells the same stories over and over, but manages to make it seem like it’s his first time seeing it too. Vishal is so in love with India that the joy he gets from introducing these things to people for the first time, is written all over his face. I wish his country men and women only knew how well they were being represented. Had a great tour, good accommodations, nice drivers and an overall life time memorable experience of authentic India. Surely come back to India soon and highly recommend Vishal and Summit Safari India.

Hi, My second time with Vishal and Summit Safari India. I visited Himachal in March this year 2019 together with two of my friends. Its an awesome place and satisfied with an excellence service given........on top of that i had a surprise b’day party arranged by Vishal in one of the village school that has always been a fond memories with the children..Accommodation of hotels was good too.. driver were excellent along with the local experience of milking the cow and drinking the fresh cow’s milk. Will definitely come back for more visits to other places as Vishal has proven to be an excellence Summit Safari Travel..with quality n service provider for his clients satisfaction..

Fabulous trip with Summit Safari, would fully recommend them, they made us feel very safe and showed us all sorts of interesting sites from Forts, temples, palaces, Taj Mahal was exceptional and train journey in Rajastan and Safari seeing a tiger, other animals too and old Delhi a must for truly original experience of sounds, smells and colours! Very good first visit and enjoyed our heritage hotels also. We were very pleased with the choices of hotels we specifically requested heritage and were pleased with all. We also happened to be there for Holi too, so much fun. If you are thinking about booking India I can recommend Vishal and Summit Safari - he offers so many different trips and we had absolutely no regrets booking a private car we saw lots of extra things this way, I felt. Comfort too. Would thoroughly recommend.
