We provide the most suitable, only good condition vehicles for the roads and terrain you will be travelling on.
Jeeps / cars are made by Tata / Mahindra/ Toyota / Suzuki – very comfortable for 2- 4 persons with one guide in a jeep / car (as per your choice); private air-conditioned chauffeur-driven (taxi) will vary in size depending on the number of people. On most of your trips we will be using modern luxury jeeps or cars when travelling as a few individuals or travelling in a group. However for small groups we use 8-10 seater Tempo Travellers, 15-18 seater Mini Coaches and up to 35 seater large coaches depending on group size, to make certain that you have ample space to move about and see the sights. For small parties we provide luxury jeeps or cars (e.g. 4 person can sit comfortably in such cars) so where it is appropriate we use a set of jeeps instead of coaches as these are more comfortable for the Himalayan roads. For certain journeys we provide alternative travel by first class train, or air travel.
The independent, trained and professional, license holder drivers work for our travel company. All our drivers are very experienced and will drive to take care of your comfort and safety. Uniformed English speaking drivers will greet you politely and hold the door open or load your luggage into the taxi. The driver will meet you in arrivals with the passenger’s name or company name, whichever you prefer. A comforting thought, especially for first time visitors in a foreign country.
The driver will drive safely and smoothly whilst providing a drink and local newspaper ensuring you arrive at your destination refreshed and relaxed. Whether it is a business trip or a holiday tour, your driver can provide local information on hotels, restaurants, the theatre or any other form of entertainment or local information. The driver is knowledgeable on the local roads and will always use their expertise to avoid traffic congestion where possible and strive to deliver you to your destination on time.
Our drivers are well looked after by the company and for road journeys over many days they are provided with a per diem allowance to cover accommodation and meals. Again for such long journeys the vehicle and driver are normally available for local use, within reasonable limits, at each place or halt at no extra cost. When adding extra days to a tour using a car, the cost of retaining the car is also included in the cost of your holiday and is known to you at the outset.
Our drivers are very experienced, careful and are well able to maintain vehicles and to deal with any mechanical problem should it arise. They are particularly experienced at driving on difficult Himalayan roads / all kind of road situations in India, and our clients have remarked in the past on their great skill.
