Brief Itinerary : 1 Day Tour
Today morning at 9:00 A.M. your local host/guide will collect you from the hotel lobby in the morning and take you to his home (30 minutes drive). On arrival you will be given a traditional welcome, with garland, Himachali traditional caps and a welcome drink. After a short introduction to your host’s family, you will take a tour of their home and see how they live.
The first activity would be Rangoli making- a traditional art (patterns) to decorate the door step of the Indian houses, with the help of colors, dry rice powder.
Join the house lady for the cooking session and learn to cook 2-3 Indian Recipes, including vegetables, curries, Indian bread( roti) puffed Indian fried bread ( puri) and some delicious Indian snacks and street food at home.
It is going to be approximately 1 hrs-1.30 hrs cooking class where you are going to prepare the food with the house lady and later would be able to eat yourself cooked recipes.
Later our female clients will have henna designs on their palm (one hand), which is done by your lovely host-the house lady.
In the meantime enjoy some Indian street food snacks including Aloo Tikki and Pani Puri , which are made in home and are totally safe to eat.
Interact to the local family to know how they live, role of women in Indian Society, caste system of India and the arrange marriage system. Later enjoy your home cooked lunch with the family.
By 2:30 P.M the Shimla culinary cooking and Food Tour India- finishes, so we drive you back to the hotel.

Shimla Culinary Cooking and Food Tour- Dining Experience with a local Family tour and you can take it as a full day culinary and cooking tour at a minimal extra cost and e will be happy to discuss all that with you at the time of booking your holidays.
Or you can include the sightseeing tour of Shimla with it at an extra cost where our expert guide takes you for the first half for the sightseeing tour of Shimla and later you join the local family for lunch, evening tea, and snacks with a cooking experience. Instead of lunch you can have dinner with the local family. We can extend the tour for a full day depending on our clients’ interests, and available time.

You will follow the cooking tour as a private tour accompanied by English speaking local host. We’ll travel two ways with a local taxi from the hotel to your hosts’ home and back to the hotel.
