Today to start with your best of Kashmir holiday tour package, you will be met from your flight to Srinagar Airport by Summit Safari’s driver, and we will transfer you to your hotel in Srinagar for three nights. After refreshing yourself, you will embark on a Sightseeing tour of Srinagar, including Nishat Bagh built by NoorJahan, Shalimar Bagh built by Jahangir, Chasma Shahi ( Royal Spring), and Shikara Ride at Dal Lake in the evening. Return back to the hotel for dinner at night.

After breakfast, on our Kashmir family tour package we depart for sightseeing from Srinagar to Gulmarg (60 km/2 hrs), famously known as the "Meadow of Flowers" and the "Switzerland of India." At 2,730 meters, Gulmarg is a premier ski resort and home to the world’s highest 18-hole golf course. Its stunning beauty, prime location, and proximity to Srinagar make it one of India’s top hill resorts.

Originally called 'Gaurimarg', Gulmarg was renamed in the 16th century by Sultan Yusuf Shah, inspired by its wildflower-covered slopes. It was also a favorite retreat of Emperor Jehangir. Today, Gulmarg offers more than just exceptional scenery; it boasts the highest green golf course in the world and is a top winter ski destination.

Enjoy a day at leisure exploring the surroundings. Consider a pony ride or a Gondola ride to Khillanmarg (at your own cost). The Gulmarg Gondola, Asia's highest and longest cable car, offers breathtaking views as it ascends to Kongdoori Mountain, near Affarwat Peak. It operates between 10 AM and 5 PM, weather permitting.

Return to Srinagar by evening for your second night’s stay.

After breakfast, today on your best of Kashmir holiday tour embark on a full-day excursion to Sonmarg (160 kms/ both ways/ 5.30 hrs of drive), one of the most scenic drives from Srinagar. En route, stop at various picturesque spots. Located at an altitude of 9,000 feet, Sonmarg, meaning "The Meadow of Gold", is renowned for its stunning backdrop of snow-capped mountains against a clear blue sky. The Sindh River, which flows through the valley, is rich with trout and mahaseer fish. Sonmarg is also the Gateway to Leh Ladakh Valleys. In Sonmarg, you can hire ponies for a ride up to the Thajiwas Glacier, a must-visit attraction during the summer. Return to Srinagar by evening for an overnight stay.

After breakfast proceed on Kashmir tour package to Pahalgam, a beautiful town at the foothills of Himalayas. Enroute to Pahalgam as per your interest, visit Pampore famous for the Saffron Fields, the Avantipura ruins and Mattan Temple (Surya Temple). On arrival at Pahalgam check in to the hotel.

Nestled at the confluence of streams from Sheshnag Lake and the Lidder River, Pahalgam (2,130 m) was once a quaint shepherd's village with stunning views. Today, it’s one of Kashmir's top resorts, offering a cool escape even in summer, with temperatures rarely exceeding 25°C. The resort is surrounded by steep hills, making pony rides a popular and convenient way to explore. Pony fares are posted at prominent locations.

One of Pahalgam's highlights is Baisaran, a vast, rolling meadow encircled by dense pine forests. Nearby, Hajan is a perfect spot for a picnic and has been featured in several films. Pahalgam is home to eight quaint villages, including Mamal, where you can visit Kashmir's oldest Shiva temple, the Mamaleshwara, dating back to the 5th century. For a unique experience, hire a pony for a short ride to this ancient temple, located just 1 km downstream, across the Lidder River. The temple, with its square stone tank, is a serene spot steeped in history. After your visit, return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Pahalgam.

Please Note: Pahalgam is also associated with the annual Amarnath Yatra. Chandanwari (2,895 m), 16 kms from Pahalgam, is the starting point of the yatrathat takes place every year in the month of Sawan(July to August). During the month of Sawan, an ice stalagmite forms a natural shivling in the Amarnath cave, which waxes and wanes with the moon.

After breakfast, on your 6 nights / 7 days Kashmir tour itinerary proceed for a visit to Aru, Chandanwari, and Betaab Valley. (Local taxi provided by the Taxi Union, with a time limit of 40 minutes at each location.)

Aru: A scenic village in Anantnag District, located 12 km from Pahalgam, Aru is known for its tranquil meadows and serves as a base camp for treks to Kolahoi Glacier, Tarsar-Marsar lakes, and Katrinag Valley. In winter, Aru is popular for skiing and heliskiing. Other activities include trout fishing, hiking, horse riding, and photography.

Betaab Valley: Located 15 km from Pahalgam between the Pir Panjal and Zanskar ranges, Betaab Valley is named after the Bollywood film Betaab. The valley, en route to the Amarnath Yatra, is renowned for its lush green meadows, snow-capped mountains, and clear streams. It is also a favored campsite and a base for trekking.

Chandanwari: Situated 16 km from Pahalgam, Chandanwari is the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra. The area is famous for snow sledging on the Snow Bridge and the picturesque Sheshnag River with its clear, forceful waters.

Return to the hotel in Pahalgam for the second night.

After breakfast, on your Kashmir trip we drive from Pahalgam to Srinagar (90 kms/ 3 hrs). Upon arrival at Srinagar, enjoy a scenic drive along the Boulevard by the lakeside. Visit some of the local Handicrafts Emporium to explore hand-knotted silk carpets, shawls, and jewelry.

After lunch, visit the Shankaracharya Temple, also known as Jyeswathra.

Check in to the houseboat for an overnight stay. Experience the unique charm of an overnight stay on a traditional Srinagar houseboat, where the serene waters of Dal Lake and the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains create an unforgettable ambiance.
