Day 1 Arrival New Delhi International Airport

Today to start with your Rajasthan Cultural Heritage and Wildlife Holiday Tour, you will be met from your flight to New Delhi International Airport by Summit Safari’s representative and driver, and we will transfer you to your hotel in New Delhi. Rest of the day is free at leisure to relax after the flight.

Day 2 Local Sightseeing in Delhi and overnight train to Jodhpur

Today make an easy start after the breakfast and check out from the hotel at 11:00 A.M and we will take you for the private guided tour of Delhi to view some of the famous sights of the old and new parts of the city. Your excursions include the Gandhi Smriti, also known as the Birla house where –Mahatma Gandhi had lived the last 144 days of his life from 9 September 1947 to 30 January 1948 when he was assassinated in 78th year of life. We’ll also visit the India gate and the Parliament House of India from Outside . We will also visit the Bangla Sahib Gurudawara a famous Sikh religion shrine, a walking tour with your guide in the heart of old Delhi and covering the Chandni Chowk bazaar with the interesting lanes of Old Delhi. We will also take a walking tour through Khari Baoli – Asia’s largest Spice market in Old Delhi. Today the part of our tour also includes a bicycle rickshaw ride in old Delhi or a Tuk Tuk ( Three wheeler ) ride in New Delhi for you.

You can skip the lunch and have early dinner in a local Restaurant in New Delhi. In the evening after dinner at 07:15 P.M we will drive you to the Old Delhi railway station where we will board the overnight first Class air- conditioned sleeper coach train to Jodhpur (600kms) departing at 09:15 P.M. Overnight on Train.

Please Note: You'd be assisted onto the train and met at the other end by Summit Safari’s representative or your driver.

Day 3 Arrival Jodhpur by Train and Local Sightseeing in Jodhpur

Today we will arrive Jodhpur "The Blue City Of India" in the state of Rajasthan famous as the Land of Kings, Forts and Palaces. On arrival at Jodhpur railway station, approximately at 08:00 AM, we will be picked up by our driver and will be transferred to the hotel in Jodhpur. On arrival at the Hotel you can fresh up yourself and will have breakfast.

Later you will have time to rest and around 12:45 PM, we will take you for the lunch in a local Restaurant in Jodhpur and later proceed to visit the Gudha Bishnoi Villages (a village where people from tribal Bishnoi community lives), some 25 kms far from Jodhpur. This will provide you a glimpse of rich cultural, traditions and life of the people of Marwar (Jodhpur), living in the villages of Thar Desert, and in some ways give our sincere efforts to help the needy local people in this water scarce regions of Rajasthan Thar Desert. We will visit Kakani village (a Potter's), Mat weaving family, Gudha village (Where you can spot wild life & visit to Bishnoi families.) Even we can take you to perform OPIUM ceremony in a local house in Gudha village. You can also shop for the local textiles and hand weaved rugs which are locally made in villages around Jodhpur and are different than any other parts of India.. Later drive back to Jodhpur and evening is free to relax or to walk around the clock tower market of Jodhpur where you can buy some of the famous Indian spices Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Please Note: The check in time at the hotel is only after 12:00 PM, but the hotel would try to provide you the rooms as soon as possible and in the meantime you can have your breakfast and can relax sitting in the restaurant / hotel Lobby.

There is an option to book the room from the previous night so that on arrival you get your room.

Day 4 Local Sightseeing in Jodhpur

Today morning after breakfast we will proceed for a sightseeing of Jodhpur. We will visit the famous Mehrangarh Fort on a privately guided tour, which is one of the most impressive fort in all Rajasthan. So colossal are its proportions that Rudyard Kipling called it “the work of giants”. Today, it is acknowledged as one of the best preserved fort in India.

We will also visit the Jaswant Thada - a cenotaph, built by Maharaja Sardar Singh of Jodhpur ( Marwar) in 1899 in memory of his father, Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. It serves as the burial ground for the rulers of Marwar. You can have lunch in a local restaurant and later visit Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum and take a walking tour through the local markets in Jodhpur. Second night at the same hotel in Jodhpur

Day 5 Jodhpur to Pushkar

Today after Breakfast at 08:30 AM we will check out from the hotel and will drive you to Pushkar (190 kms /4.30 hrs drive), a town famous for its annual camel fair. We will arrive Pushkar by afternoon and will check in to the hotel. Have time to fresh up yourself and around 3:00 PM we will take you for a short camel safari (2 hrs) to the nearby sand dunes, where you can enjoy the sunset. Return back to the hotel by night. Overnight Stay in Pushkar.

Day 6 Pushkar to Jaipur

Today morning after breakfast at 08.30 A.M check out from the hotel and we will take you to visit the Savitri temple on the top of a hill in Pushkar. It about 40 minutes of hike uphill to the Savitri temple in Pushkar and the temple on the hill top provides beautiful views of the surrounding areas of Pushkar town. You even have a choice to go uphill / downhill with a cable car. Later we will visit the local interesting market of Pushkar. Pushkar is famous for its lake and the temple of Lord Bhrama—the creator of the universe in Hindu Religion. There are very few temples dedicated to Lord Bhrama (the creator of the Universe in Hindu Religion) in the country and Pushkar has one of it.

Later by 11:30 we will start our drive to Jaipur (150 kms/ 3.45 hrs) where we will arrive later afternoon. Today enroute to hotel if interested we will take you to visit the famous miniature painting artist in Jaipur. You can also visit handicraft crafts emporium where you can have a free look around the local art, crafts, Carpets, Gems, jewellery etc, as Jaipur is a treasure trove for shoppers. On arrival at Jaipur we will check in to the hotel and rest of the day is free to relax.

Jaipur - The Capital of Rajasthan State, also popularly known as the Pink City. The City was founded on 18 November 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber, after whom the city is named. In 1853, when the Prince of Wales visited Jaipur, the whole city was painted pink to welcome him during the regime of Sawai Ram Singh. Today, avenues remain painted in pink, provide a distinctive appearance to the city and providing it, it’s English name “The Pink City”.

Please Note: Jaipur is a treasure trove for shoppers, shopping is irresistible, a wide range of handicrafts are available in the market, and most of items are produced locally in and around the city. The city is one of the most important centres in the world for cutting and polishing precious and semi precious stones, particularly that of diamonds, topaz and emeralds. Jaipur enjoys a high reputation for the manufacture of Jewellery. It is one of the most active jewel markets of the world. Jaipur brass work is of immaculate quality. The Jaipur brass worker is successful in infusing life like charm into the dull metal

Day 7 Full Day local sightseeing in Jaipur

Today early morning after the breakfast around 07:45 A.M, we will leave on private guided full day sightseeing in and around the 'Pink City' of India- Jaipur. We will visit the Amber fort, being a perfect blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture, this fort attracts travellers from around the globe. Beautifully caparisoned elephants go up and down carrying visitors to and from the fort. These well cladded elephants make a joyride to Amber fort and in turn makes your travel to Amber fort a fascinating experience. From the car park you will ride the Elephants to the fort or can choose to walk uphill.

On the way back to Jaipur city we will stop at Jal Mahal ( the water palace) for a picture. You will have lunch in a local restaurant and after lunch you will visit Jantar- Mantar (Jaipur Astronomical Observatory) the City palace and the Hawa Mahal ( the palace of The winds). This evening if you wish we will take you to visit the handicraft crafts emporium where you can have a free look around the local art, crafts etc. By evening return back to your hotel in Jaipur. Second night in the same hotel at Jaipur

Day 8 Jaipur to Ranthambore

Today morning after breakfast at 08:30 A.M we will drive you to Ranthambore ( 170 kms/ 3.30 hrs), a popular National park and a Tiger Reserve, is the pioneer among all natural destinations of India. It is the very best place for wildlife lovers to see Tigers in the natural habitat. On arrival at Swai Madhopur a town at the entrance of Ranthambore National Park, check in to your hotel. In the evening we will drive you and take you for a walk around the Ranthambore fort. A trip to the fort is a thrilling experience. Here you will definitely enjoy the breathtaking views of the entire Ranthambore National Park, as well as we will also visit the famous temple of Lord Ganesha (The God for Good luck) inside the Fort .Overnight stay in Ranthambore.

Day 9 Game drive to Ranthambore National Park

Game drive twice a day- today early morning 05:45 AM. we will set off for the exciting game drive tour in shared jeeps, to the Ranthambore National Park accompanied by a Naturalist park guide, where we have the chances to trace the famous Bengal Tiger and the leopard along with many other animals, birds and reptiles within it. The Game drive safari continues for the next 3 hrs. We will return back to the hotel around 10: 00 A.M, where you can have your breakfast and some time to relax your own. In the Afternoon again we will take you for the second game drive around 2:45 PM to Ranthambore National Park. Second night at the same hotel in Ranthambore.

Day 10 Ranthambore to Bharatpur – visit Keoladeo Ghana Bird Park

Today morning after breakfast at 08:00 AM we will drive you to Bharatpur ( 245 kms/ 5 hrs), famous for Keoladeo Ghana National Park which hosts over three hundred fifty avian species and fifty different mammals. On arrival at Bharatpur check in to the hotel and in the evening at 4:00 P.M we take you on a private guided tour to visit the Keoladeo Ghana National Park in Bharatpur, accompanied by an experienced Naturalist, who have a wide knowledge of this area and the bird Spices. We will ride the Cycle Rickshaw inside the park and will spot various birds by walking also. These diverse habitats are home to 366 bird species, 379 floral species, 50 species of fish, 13 species of snakes, 5 species of lizards, 7 amphibian species, 7 turtle species, and a variety of other invertebrates. Every year thousands of migratory waterfowl visit the park for wintering and breeding. The sanctuary is one of the richest bird areas in the world and is known for nesting of resident birds and visiting migratory birds including water birds.

Return back to the hotel by late evening, overnight stay in a Heritage hotel in Bharatpur.

Day 11 Bharatpur to Agra - visit a local village near Bharatpur

Today morning after breakfast check out from the hotel at 09:00 A.M, and first before proceeding to Agra we will take you to visit Bahnera village which is the major highlight of your rural India tour today. Our especially crafted “Bahnera” village walk takes you to experience the warm hospitality of the local villagers by visiting them at their homes. You will visit the primary health centre, a village school, oil mill, village potter, interact with the locals through your English speaking guide and enjoy a cup of chai ( milk tea) with them to understand their traditions and customs. In this 2 hrs of a walking tour you will understand the life of the people in the India and will see at first hand the way in which the villagers live. Your local guide will be there with you all the times to translate and to explain their beliefs and their customs, including the role of women in their society, their superstitions, their religion and caste system and the problems that they face, and you will be able to ask questions through him.

Today’s village walking tour is also a very important aspect of our responsible tourism India tours and on our community based village tourism we ensure that the villagers and the local community benefit directly from your visit, so it is helpful to them to have you visit. Later continue your drive to Agra ( 50 kms). On arrival at Agra check in to the hotel.

In the evening at 6:00 P.M we will take you to Kalakriti Cultural Centre to view the “Mohabbat-the-Taj” a series of play, music and dance, depicting the saga of love. It is based on the true and immortal love story of Emperor Shajahan for Mumtaj Mahal- his beautiful wife, related to the story of Taj Mahal. The show will take you back to the times of the lavish lifestyle of Mughal era. Overnight stay in Agra.

Please Note: Today you can even choose to go for a shopping of some famous handicrafts including the Zardozi a type of heavy and elaborate metal threads (silver/gold/copper wires) embroidery on a silk, satin, or velvet fabric base or to visit the Marble Inlay work artist in Agra.

Day 12 Agra Local Sightseeing and drive to Delhi

Today early morning (05:45 AM) our local guide and driver will take you to visit epitome of love, The Taj Mahal at Agra (Sunrise visit), which is one of the most graceful and extravagant monuments of the world. We will return back to the hotel for breakfast around 08:30 A.M and after breakfast around 11:00 AM we will take you to visit the Red Fort at Agra. It was the main residence of the Emperors of the Mughal Dynasty until 1638, when the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi. Before capture by the British, the last Indian rulers to have occupied it were the Marathas. In 1983, the Agra fort has been inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage site. The Red Fort is a great preview to visiting the Taj Mahal - the two were built during the same period and have much shared history. Have lunch in a local restaurant and after lunch visit the ‘Baby Taj’, being the first Mughal monument constructed entirely of marble and often regarded as a draft of the Taj Mahal. We will also visit the Mehtab Bagh- a Mughal garden with views to the Taj Mahal from the distance across river Yamuna. Second night at the same hotel in Agra.

Day 13 Agra to New Delhi

Today after breakfast 09:00 AM we will drive you to New Delhi on the express highway (230 kms / 3.45 hrs.). On arrival at Delhi we will visit the Famous Akshardham temple the World's Largest Comprehensive Hindu Temple and later we will transfer you to the hotel. Rest of the time is free to relax.

Please Note: Mobile phone, camera, hand bags, big money purses are not allowed inside the Akshardham temple complex. You need to deposit them in the lockers outside the main temple or you can keep them in the car where the driver will take care of your belongings.

Day 14 Fly Back to Your Country

Today morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and as per your flight schedule we will transfer you to the international airport in New Delhi, from where you will board your flight back to home.
