Today early morning check from the hotel with your packed breakfast and you will be assisted and drive to New Delhi railway station. From here you will board your Chandigarh Shatabdi Express train leaving New Delhi railway station at 7:40 A.M to Chandigarh arrival at 11:10 AM.

On arrival at Chandigarh railway station you will be met by your guide and driver and we will drive you to Shimla (120 kms /4 hrs) via Barog, Solan. Enroute you will stop for comfort break. You will reach Shimla in the late afternoon and will transfer to hotel / home stay in Shimla. Evening is free to relax.

Please Note: You can add a flight to your tour in the starting or at the end of the tour on day 4 from Chandigarh to New Delhi back.

Shimla airport runway is very small and only one flight operates seasonally from New Delhi to Shimla with a baggage limit of 10 kgs per person only. Flights are very unreliable and depend on the wheatear conditions in the mountains specially Shimla. We would not recommend you taking a flight to Shimla.

Chandigarh is an international airport and is close to Shimla (120 kms/ 4 hrs). The flights to Chandigarh are available from New Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai and from many other major cities in India.

After breakfast you will take a private guided tour of Shimla. Your driver will drive you to visit the famous Viceroy’s House where arrangements for the partition of India and Pakistan were worked out. It was also used as the residence and Office of the British Viceroy during the British Raj. Later we will take you to visit the Army heritage Museum located on the sides of the polo and fun fair ground. Later we will start with our heritage walk of Shimla and visit the Colonial Heritage Building including the Railway board building, the Gaiety Theater, the Christ Chruch of Shimla, the town Hall building, the Scandel Point of Shimla, the bandstand. You will also have a walk through traffic banned pedestrian lanes of the Mall road and the Ridge. If interested you can enjoy a cup of coffee at the Shimla coffee House or may have some snacks in the chaotic bazaars and lanes of Shimla. We will also visit the Monkey temple of Shimla on the Jakhoo hills. Second night stay in the same home stay/ hotel in Shimla.

Today Morning after breakfast your will go on a private guide tour with your guide and driver. We will drive you to the countryside’s of Shimla to Fagu valley famous for the views of the Central and Greater Himalayan range. We will make a couple of stops to admire the mountain views at the Shimla water catchment area, Kufri the first ski slopes developed by the British in India and the yak point to have a photo with this Himalayan multipurpose animal.

You may wish to stop at the hotel Wildflower Hall for a cup of tea/ coffee. Later by afternoon we will take you to visit a local family in Shimla for the cooking, culinary and food tour experience. You will interact with the local family and can choose to have your lunch or dinner with them, pre booked at the time of booking your holidays. Today you can even learn cooking a couple of Indian food recipe. Later return back to the hotel. Third night at the same hotel/home stay in Shimla.

Today after breakfast at 09:30 A.M we will drive you to Shimla railway station from where you will board the toy train. The UNESCO inscribed World Heritage Site since 2008, the Kalka Shimla toy train is listed under "Mountain Railways of India" and is an engineering marvel of its time. We will board the toy train from Shimla railway station leaving at 10:30 A.M to Kandaghat railway station arriving y 12;45 PM. It is the most interesting section of the toy train arrow rail line through the tunnels, over the bridges including the highest Arch Gallery Bridge No.541, situated near Kanoh Railway station. Enjoying the views through the window of Kalka Shimla Toy train, over the spectacular landscape of the foothills of Himalayas with the cool wind of the mountains, the villages where local farmers are working to get the best crops and the seasonable vegetables soon lush green valley embellished with pine and oak trees, the picturesque scenery along the railway line is simply astounding.

On arriving at Kandaghat railway station you will be met by your driver and we will drive you to Kalka railway station from where you will board your evening Shatabdhi express train leaving Kalka at 5:40 P.M to New Delhi arriving at 9:55 P.M.

On arrival at New Delhi railway station you will be met by our driver and he will transfer you to the hotel.
