The trail leaves from the holiday town of Shimla and follows the ancient trade route over Bhaba Pass (16,075feet) to Mud village in Spiti Valley. The trek begins at Kafnoo village in Kinnaur valley and takes you from the green forests and pastures on the banks of the Bhaba River to the dry high altitude deserts of Spiti and Pin valley, after crossing Bhaba Pass. This trek offers an incredible insight into the remote Spiti and Pin Valleys of Himachal Pradesh. After crossing the Bhaba pass, the landscape changes dramatically, with thick forests of pine, cedar and deodar of Bhaba valley being replaced by the barren lunarscape like landscape of Spiti valley which also presents a colorful mosaic made up principally of earthen reds, yellows and browns. The elevation of the trail rises from 2,200 metres to 4,900 metres above sea level
Highlights of your trek starts from Shimla onwards and end up in Manali while discovering the beautiful Kinnaur valley, Spiti valley and Sangla valley close to the Tibet border. The trip also offers a chance to visit many old Buddhist monasteries, different culture and tradition.
