This walk is easy and pleasant, and is recommended for those people who have interest to see the country sides along with the village houses and meeting the local people from closer. Even a cup of tea can be arranged with a local family in the village which provide you chance to interact with the locals. This walk starts from Mashobra 15 kms, from Shimla on the Shimla Tatapani road. Sipur is an old fairground 2 kms below Mashobra. It is situated in the middle of Cedar wood trees. There is a traditional wooden hill temple dedicated to lord Shiva at Sipur. From Sipur one have to climb back till the bifurcation point, which is near the natural source of water (bori- just below Mashobra school), From here one continues the walk to MulKoti village through the Cedar, pine, Oak and Rodadendrum trees. One can follow the forest pat which passes through the apple orchards and a couple of village houses before reaching MulKoti village. MulKoti is the village from where the local hill rulers of this estate used to rule at one time, but now the fort is in ruins and the rulers live at some other place. The views from the ruins of the fort of MulKoti are beautiful and one can see entire valley with small village houses below and Shali Peak in front. From MulKoti village one has to climb uphill to reach Kanda village where the walk finishes and we will drive you back to the Hotel In Shimla.
